Teaching students the importance of technology is at the heart of The Glenholme School. Students experience as many different aspects of technology as possible from the classroom where there are large screen monitors at the front of every room, or in the residence where each bedroom has its own computer with access to the Internet, e-mail and student files. Students participate in our growing technology in all aspects of the program. Through the technology of video-conferencing, they have visited many fascinating and educational sites, from the Johnson Space Center to the Cleveland Zoo. Students who have a particular interest in learning about technology can join after school groups to learn about running a radio station, broadcasting television news, editing digital photography and video, or designing websites. We
have several facilities that help support our technology goals at
Glenholme. Our Computer Lab in the Schoolhouse gives students access
to technology throughout their day. This room is complete with overhead
computer projection so that teachers may show students where or how
to use the technology they are studying. Our library holds four research
computers that are used by students and staff to research their work
and access our card catalog. In addition, our Media Development Center
helps students learn how to use, edit and manipulate different forms
of media technology.
