Students recognized at awards assembly

In an outdoor awards assembly on Thursday, June 17, students were recognized for their effort to go above and beyond in academics, the arts, and special programs. The purpose of our annual awards program is to encourage effort, innovation and creativity. Additionally, the Student Council recognized new Self Dependent students with the specially designed hoodie sweatshirt and awarded the Student Council Scholarship.

Every year the student council raises funds through their annual carnation sale for this scholarship. Seniors attending post-secondary education institutions may apply for the SC Scholarship. The council members review the applications, interview the candidates and select the recipient.
