Academic Fair a success

After months of immeasurable effort theorizing, researching, experimenting, and collecting, the Academic Fair put students’ hypotheses to the test as they presented their findings in fantastic fashion. From dazzling dances to tasty treats, the spectacular showcase of academic excellence filled every corner of the Glenholme gymnasium on Thursday, May 27 with energy and excitement for education. The antique traveling pizzeria, the Big Green Truck, delivered delectable on-site wood-fired pizza, scrumptious salad and refreshing gelato for Glenholme parents as a prelude to the annual Academic Fair. Awaiting the excited admirers was an impressive array of collections, demonstrations, models, observations, experiments, and research projects in arts, sciences, mathematics, music and more.

Glenholme believes the experiences gained through participation in the Academic Fair are essential to the educational development of students. By participating, students not only gain new knowledge and skills, but also expand their educational experiences of the classroom. Academic fair projects encourage students to design and complete projects which will promote critical thinking skills and foster creativity. This type of experience is crucial to the development of student knowledge and encourages them to work together in a cooperative manner with peers, teachers, parents and other individuals.

The Academic Fair is an all-encompassing experience for Glenholme students and supports many values of the school by promoting personal responsibility, respect for diversity, fairness of others, family involvement, and spirit of unity. Each year the campus anticipates the unparalleled educational event only the Academic Fair can provide.
