The Simon Foundation shares the story of Neville

Ambassadors for The Simon Foundation, Stephanie Ferguson and her adopted dog, Neville, delivered an important message of awareness about animal rescue as they shared their story with the students and staff at the Glenholme School on Friday, November 20. The Simon Foundation, an animal rescue organization based in Bloomfield, Conn., is dedicated to the preservation and adoption of dogs and cats otherwise abandoned, abused, neglected or euthanized in municipal shelters, to caring and loving homes.

Neville's story is typical of many shelter animals. It is this ordinary story that delivers the message of The Simon Foundation, which is simply "Until there is none, adopt one." Glenholme students read the book, Neville: A Dog with a Secret which tells Neville's wonderful story of animal rescue and adoption. The students asked insightful questions, relayed their personal stories of care and love for animals, and utilized critical thinking to provide creative ideas for supporting the fundraising efforts of The Simon Foundation.
