Students begin to write their "Laws of Life"
On January 8, all students at Glenholme began to write their Laws of Life essay. This essay contest was created by Sir John Templeton in 1987 and has spread throughout the United States and to more than 30 countries around the world. This essay program encourages students to reflect and write about the values they believe will help them live successful lives.
The students have until February 14 to write and turn in their essay. Each student has the great opportunity to write about someone they look up to, someone who has influenced them in a positive way, or a person who has helped teach them right from wrong. The essay contest is a part of our community service program and all the students at the school participate in it each year. Over the years Glenholme has had numerous excellent essays. Each year from all the essays turned in, the one that stands out the most gets submitted to statewide judging. All of the students are recognized for their great efforts during a formal dinner held at the school.
