Students attend Carnegie Hall's opening night event

On Wednesday, October 3, Glenholme students took a special trip to New York City for a concert at Carnegie Hall.

The concert marked the opening night gala of the Hall's 117th season. Under the direction of David Robertson, the Lucerne Festival Orchestra performed Ludwig Van Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major, Op. 58, featuring Murray Perahia on the piano, and Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125, featuring Melanie Diener, soprano; Anna Larsson, contralto; Jonas Kaufman, tenor; Reinhard Hagen, bass; and the Westminster Symphonic Choir under the direction of Joe Miller.

The students thoroughly enjoyed the concert, and showed their appreciation by participating in a fifteen minute long standing ovation at the conclusion of the performance.
