Students stage "Bye Bye Birdie"

On Thursday, August 23, Glenholme students brought down the house with a rousing version of the hit musical "Bye Bye Birdie."

The plot revolves around rock and roll superstar Conrad Birdie and the complications that arise when his agent stages a publicity stunt on "The Ed Sullivan Show" in which he will kiss one lucky girl from Sweet Apple, Ohio before being drafted into the army.

The talented cast included Nick D. as Conrad Birdie, Alexandra K. as the lucky Kim MacAfee chosen to kiss Conrad, Dan M. as Kim's jealous boyfriend Hugo Peabody, Shari S. and Chaim M as Mr. and Mrs. MacAfee, Chadd B. as Conrad's agent Albert Peterson, Samantha M. as Albert's long-suffering girlfriend Rosie Alvarez, Luci G. as the scene-stealing Mrs Peterson and Kolbe H. as the narrator, and Conrad Birdie's number one fan, Ursula Merkel.
