Democracy Challenge Cup

The Town of Washington received the Democracy Challenge Cup on Tuesday, March 15 for the second year in a row. The 2 ½ -foot-tall Challenge Cup was given to the Town of Washington for having the highest voter turnout (93.08%) in the 2004 election. Six Glenholme students from Mr. Craig's Social Studies class attended the event and were able to speak with several local politicians including Connecticut's Secretary of the State, the Honorable Susan Bysiewicz, State Senator Andrew W. Roraback, and State Representative Arthur J. O'Neil.
