Glenholme Joins Forces with Global Connections, Inc.

In an effort to further Western Democracy and educational values with schools and countries, Dr. Roulx of Glenholme has participated in conferences with 85 schools from twenty-six nations. Recent conferences attended by Glenholme have been held in France, during the summer of 2003 and Romania and Bulgaria during the summer 2004.

These conferences provided an opportunity to become familiar with issues of educational needs and contrasting educational philosophies. Many developing countries and many other countries do not share the U.S. educational philosophy or approach to educating students who have learning disabilities and/or emotional issues that interfere with learning and family life. Glenholme and its program is unique, and most participants were extremely interested in hearing about the school. Most of the countries represented do not have schools similar to Glenholme.

The conferences led to relationships that may very well result in referrals from many of the participants. Such is in keeping with the school's desire to diversify the student population and become an international educational center.

Families from around the world have children who are experiencing educational and emotional difficulties. Glenholme, in a small way, is reaching out to these families and offering a school specifically designed for these children.
