Paying Tribute and Remembering September 11

WASHINGTON, CT (September 11, 2003) - The Devereux Glenholme School came together the morning of September 11, 2003 to remember the victims and heroes of the tragic events that took place two years ago and also to pay tribute to those who have and continue to protect our nation.

Together, staff and students gathered around the campus flagpole where a small memorial ceremony was held. Six students along with Glenholme's social studies teacher, Tom Craig, replaced the American flag that was raised one year ago in remembrance of September 11, 2003. The Glenholme community observed a moment of silence as the new American flag was lifted up to half-staff, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
