Third Annual Auction to Benefit New Library
WASHINGTON, CT (May 28, 2003) - It is believed that the Internet can provide
all the answers. Truth is, the library can serve as the central search
engine for our children today. This is our main focus behind "Our
Midsummer Night's Dream" for the new Glenholme Library. For the third
consecutive year, The Devereux Glenholme School will host their Benefit
Auction on Sunday, June 22 from 4 to 7 p.m.
All proceeds will be used to purchase books and other resources that will
provide expanded access to information and opportunities to the children
of Glenholme. A children's performance will open the evening, followed
by a silent and live auction, open bar, hors d'oeuvres, and dessert. Items
available for auction include New York Yankees and Rex Sox tickets, Litchfield
County overnight getaways, Broadway tickets, and a collection of original
fine art works by artists, such as Picasso and Calder.
Persons interested in donating items for the event or purchasing tickets
should call Sylvia Abbate, Director of Events, at (860) 868-7377, ext.
221.
