Alumni Day 2003

Alumni gathered at The Glenholme School on Friday, November 14 to reminisce and rekindle friendships with fellow graduates, current students, former teachers and staff. The afternoon event was a great opportunity to speak with alumni to share in their accomplishments and current activities.

A recent 2003 graduate, Nick R., enthusiastically updated everyone about attending the Cheshire Academy in Connecticut. Nick is currently an honor roll student who participates in the drama program and has grown to establish many new friendships at his school. "It feels great to come back and tell everyone how well I'm doing. I love where I am now and I give Glenholme all the credit," explained Nick as he smiled. When talking to Nick and his mother, there was a strong sense of accomplishment in their eyes as he handed over a program of his recent leading role as Demetrius in Shakespeare's play, "A Mid Summer Night's Dream." This new interest in acting is sure to be only one of many exciting adventures Nick will succeed at.

Former students from the graduating class of 2002 talked about their involvement here at Glenholme. While their participation in all of Glenholme's programs was significant, Community Service was a key topic of conversation. Since graduation from Glenholme, Adam G., attending a private school in New York, is keeping busy with the Boy Scouts. Adam proudly explained how he is leading a group of volunteers in the construction of a park bench and a landscaping project for a local church.

For Zachary E., his positive impact on senior citizens brought back many fond memories of residents at Candlewood Valley nursing home. While at Glenholme, Zachary volunteered each week at the nursing home playing bingo with the residents. Zachary spoke of his favorite resident Annette and highlighted his favorite moment - when he volunteered to sing and perform for them at a Christmas talent show. Zachary is currently attending college to become an elementary teacher, where he will continue to make a difference in someone else's life.

Glenholme appreciates the alumni attendance at the event and wishes them continued success for the future.
