Yale Alley Cats Prowled Again at Devereux Glenholme School

WASHINGTON, CT (May 9, 2003)...An encore of last year's hit a cappella performance was given to the students and staff of The Devereux Glenholme School by the Yale Alley Cats on Friday, May 2.

The 16 member, all-male collegiate group assembled in the Dining Hall where their vocal styles ranged from beautiful harmonies to comical entertainment. The audience was pleased by the diversity and originality of the performance. Members of the crowd were able to share their enthusiasm by singing along to tunes such as "Under the Boardwalk" and "Coconut."

The Yale Alley Cats performed as the main event in a gala held at the Brookfield Theatre for the Arts later that evening. The group undoubtedly gave another stellar performance.
The Alley Cats have a rich history that started as a barbershop quartet in 1943. Since the group's inception, they have traveled around the world captivating audiences with a tradition of musical excellence.

"Performing at schools gives us the opportunity to inspire students to find a new found appreciation for music. Spreading music is our greatest passion, along with helping students to realize that there is more to music than just singing notes", states Andrew Sandberg, Business Manager of the Yale Alley Cats. Musical performances, such as the Yale Alley Cats, strike a cord with many of the students at Glenholme. Devereux Glenholme is a specialized boarding school that provides therapeutic programs and an exceptional learning environment to address varying levels of academic, social and emotional development in boys and girls ages 5 through 18.
