... Dr.Patrick L. Queenan of Brookfield,
CT, has finished his residency in
Psychology under the direction of
Thomas Houle, Ph.D. at Devereux Glenholme
in Washington, CT, and is in receipt
of his license as a Clinical Psychologist.
Dr. Queenan, who has spent 11 years
with The Devereux Foundation, three
of them at Devereux Glenholme, is
responsible for outcome studies to
ensure the quality of treatment and
interventions, oversees operations
of Glenholme's outpatient treatment
facility, provides weekly individual
and family therapy to children and
adolescents, and conducts psychological
evaluations at the school.
A Trumbull, CT native, Dr. Queenan
earned his BA in psychology at Villanova
University, Villanova, PA, his MA
in General Psychology at The Catholic
University of America in Washington,
D.C., and completed both an MA and
Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at George
Mason University, Fairfax, VA. His
professional experience, in addition
to his work at Devereux Glenholme,
included Predoctoral Intern experience
at The Devereux Foundation, Mapleton
Center, Malvern, PA, work as a psychology
Extern at Kennedy Krieger Institute
at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore,
MD, at Accotink Academy, Springfield,
VA, and as a Community Psychology
Consultant at St. Stephen's Preschool
in Fairfax.
Dr. Queenan has completed research
over the past ten years at The Devereux
Foundation, all of his graduate and
undergraduate schools, at the National
Institute of Mental Health in Bethesda,
MD, and Chestnut Lodge Hospital Research
Center in Rockville, MD. He also worked
at The Devereux Foundation, Devereux
Children's Center in Washington, D.C.,
and presented research findings and
papers at a number of national professional
conferences.
