Washington,CT ... Young students enrolled at Devereux Glenholme, Washington, celebrated a special day last week when Ronald McDonald made a personal visit.

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Connecticut and Western Massachusetts came with Ronald McDonald to dedicate three tough-screen educational computers they have given to the TLC program Tender Learning Care (TLC) is a carefully designed program and academic curriculum for children, ages 5 to 9, with academic, learning or behavior difficulties.

“These new computers help make possible the joint mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Devereux Glenholme School to help children lead happier, healthier and more productive lives,” explained Caroline Carrington, a member of the RMHC board of directors. The three touch-screen computers have been placed in TLC classrooms where they are already important learning tools for these children.

Ronald McDonald entertained the TLC children for an hour with his program, “On the Inside,” which focuses on character traits like trustworthiness, respect, fairness and responsibility. Devereux Glenholme has a campus-wide character education program, Communities of Character, which is incorporated into every aspect of the children’s lives.

Devereux Glenholme is part of The Devereux Foundation, a national organization with centers in 12 states and the District of Columbia.
