IMMEDIATE RELEASE February, 2001 Washington,CT ... Devereux Glenholme in Washington, CT has announced plans for CELEBRAGALIA, the First Annual Auction to Benefit The Glenholme School: Helping Today's Students Become Tomorrow's Stars. This gala event will take place on Sunday, April 29 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Ethan Allen Inn, Exit 4 on I-84, Danbury. The silent and live auction will include prizes such as a week in a Hilton Head, S.C. condo, artwork and other luxury items. Admission to the event is $75 per person and includes cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and dessert. The school welcomes donations to the auction as well as the participation of all interested people. Suggested items might be sports memorabilia, tickets, dinners, baskets of cheer, theme baskets and various services. Call Sylvia Abbate in Glenholme's Development Office to ask about donations, tickets or other details. The proceeds from Celebragalia will go to support the Fine Arts program, something which is not covered under tuition. Over the past two years, grants from several organizations have helped to establish programs in theater, music and visual arts. Every child has been exposed to a variety of mediums, workshops and performances with professional artists, and opportunities to experiment with different art forms on their own. The arts are now integrated into the school's curriculum and provide countless creative avenues to unlock student potential. Devereux Glenholme in Washington, CT provides a full academic curriculum and many extracurricular activities for nearly 100 students, ages 5-16, who have emotional, behavioral or learning difficulties.
