Washington, CT ... Therapeutic foster parents are needed for the expansion of an important program at The Glenholme School, Tender Learning Care. The Washington, Conn. campus has recently opened a new schoolhouse and cottages for its younger students, ages 5 to 9, and many of these children are also in need of therapeutic homes.

Once they have adjusted well to the environment of Glenholme, these children are ready to transition into homes where they can learn other valuable life skills. They continue to attend classes at Glenholme, but benefit enormously from the close relationship with a therapeutic family. Once they are discharged they may go back to their original family, on to a permanent foster care situation, or an adopted home.

Therapeutic parents benefit from extensive training with the professional staff at Glenholme, round-the clock back-up help, respite care, on-going training, a generous stipend and other necessary support. For more information, please call Kathryn Beary, Director of Home Based Services at (860) 868-7377 ext. 203. .
