Only Three Acts Remain in Glenholme Idol!

The Center for the Arts was abuzz with excitement as the audience gathered to watch Round Four of Glenholme Idol on the evening of Thursday, January 12. During this much-anticipated round of the competition, the remaining four group and solo acts showcased their talent for two staff judges and head student judge, Matt. Cheered on by an enthusiastic audience of students and staff, each act attempted to earn the highest combined judge and student scores in order to advance to next round.

Performances included:
“Joker Man” by Bob Dylan
“Marry the Night” by Lady GaGa
“Food Critic,” an original parody of “Billionaire” by Bruno Mars and Travie McCoy
“Beggin’ on Your Knees” by Victoria Justice

At the end of this high-energy single elimination round, only three acts remained. A big congratulations to the five students who advanced to Round Five!

One Glenholme teacher expressed the importance of a strong Arts program and its powerful effect on students when she said, “Glenholme’s commitment to the Arts has given students the opportunity to learn and experience success in a number of different ways. They are not only taught to appreciate the Arts, but to participate in them. By mastering their new skills in a professional environment, students are able to develop the confidence they need to be successful in the Arts, whether in an extracurricular or professional capacity. Success is important to all of us, and by encouraging the Arts program and developing The Center for the Arts, we have given Glenholme students one more avenue to achieve their own success.”
