Selma Cinco de Mayo fundraiser benefits local charity.
The students of Glenholme’s culinary program worked tirelessly during the week of May 2-6 in an effort to raise funds for a local charity. The culinary program introduces students to the intriguing and creative career possibilities of the culinary world. These students operate a café on campus, which serves lunch to staff and students as an essential part of their learning.

“Semana del Cinco de Mayo” featured flavorful chilies, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, salads and desserts in celebration of the festive holiday. All proceeds from the special lunches were earmarked for the New Milford Food Bank to help support their mission to alleviate hunger.

The result of students' week-long effort was over $350 raised for the New Milford Food Bank. The post-graduate students at Glenholme will shop for the food supplies and deliver the items to the food bank in the coming weeks.

Congratulations on another successful community service effort!
