The library at the Devereux
Glenholme School is a favorite
place for students, staff,
and teachers.
The
library contains over 4,000 books. Through the work of the development
staff and our parents' fundraising efforts, 2,600 books were
recently added to our collection. Library patrons can choose
a book from our fiction, non-fiction, biography and reference
shelves. There is also an "easy" section for new readers
that includes both fiction and nonfiction titles.
The
library's atrium displays
framed student art accompanied
by a handcrafted sign designed
and donated by one of Glenholme's
parents. Inside, the library
also provides an art gallery
for students to proudly
display current works. There
are four computers in the
library for student and
staff use and accessing
the card catalog online.
The ability to use the computers
to research not only the
library at the Glenholme
School, but also appropriate
Internet sites creates opportunities
for our students to develop
the skills they will need
to succeed in any academic
setting.

The
design of the library
allows it to be flooded
with natural lighting.
Younger students love
the colorful rug in
the story-time circle.
Glenholme students learn
the skills that will
allow them to navigate
through both the physical
collection and the virtual
information available
online with ease.
The
Devereux Glenholme
library is open to
students during the
school day, after
school until 9:00
p.m. and some summer
weekend hours.
