The Devereux Glenholme School offers training in our Devereux Crisis Prevention /Intervention (CP/I) program which assists staff in effectively dealing with people with behavior disorders. The CP/I curriculum includes: Staff Effectiveness Training, Safety Techniques, and Personal Emergency Interventions. Training is available in any or all components.

Staff Effectiveness Training teaches staff to become aware of the important role that they play in their interactions and observations of others. These techniques are aimed at prevention, de-escalation, and awareness of crisis situations. Safety Techniques training instructs staff on how to safely block, deflect, and release holds by aggressive individuals. Personal Emergency Interventions are taught as a last resort when less restrictive techniques have not helped the individual to remain safe.

For more information or to schedule a training at your facility, please call the Devereux Glenholme School at 860-868-7377.
