The purpose of the GSC shall be to serve as a safe place for students and staff to openly communicate with one another. For students to freely express their thoughts and ideas on how to make Glenholme a fun and exciting place to live learn and grow; to build school spirit and create amongst the students an understanding of school traditions, to foster effective student leadership skills, and build strong personal character. The GSC is committed to giving all students a voice, bringing the students’ ideas to the administration, building leadership within the student body, and making Glenholme a better place.
Students run for office yearly and are voted on by the entire student body. The council has 5-6 officers and representatives from each class. Two faculty members act as advisors to the group and support and teach the students as they take on the responsibility of their positions. |
