Grizzlie’s Win Two on the Road

The Grizzlies competed against the always tough Woodhall Phoenix team. Both teams had a slow start with a low scoring first quarter. The Grizzlies seemed to shake the nerves after Cam provided a spark for the second game in a row. Cam came off the bench to score the first 3 baskets for the Grizzlies. Cam also had a blocked shot late in the game.

The Grizzlies put the game plan to work building a double digit lead by half time with great outlet passes and fast break layups. Woodhall and Glenholme exchanged baskets all 3rd quarter.
The Phoenix were able to close the double digit lead to just 2 points after knocking down a pair of 3’s. With under 1 minute the game was tied at 36. The Grizzles in-bounded the ball from the far side of the court to Cam who was able to shake his defender for the game winning basket!

All eleven players stepped on the court, which is impressive in a 32-minute game.

Team Captain, Andrew helped lead his team to victory with; 17 points, tough defense, and rebounding. Andrew played both point guard and center and kept his teammates motivated and organized throughout the game. Andrew scored a 3 point shot and was the only player to play all 32 minutes.

Peyton contributed on offense and defense. He grabbed rebounds, scored a pair of fast break layups, and played tough defense.
Drew did a nice job playing defense. Drew has a great understanding of the game. Drew also gave great effort grabbing the ball to gain possession for the Grizzlies.

Ben scored a pull up jumper on a fast break. Ben also played tough defense.

Jack was able to use his strength to help box out defenders in the post and Jaiden contributed a bucket and helped at the point guard position.

Tochukwu also provided lots of energy and did a great job applying coaching feedback throughout the game.
