The 2017 Prom: A Night to Remember

Last weekend, Glenholme brought together 27 incredible young men and women at the Washington Club to celebrate and dance the night away for the 2017 Prom, “A Night to Remember.”

It was a picturesque day for the occasion. Prom-goers began preparations early in the day — the ladies in the school’s new salon and the lads together in a cottage. The classmates and couples donning their formal attire gathered with family, friends and faculty for pre-prom photos and a reception on campus.

The sophisticated prom-goers were then whisked away to the Washington Club in a stretch limousine. Their destination was decorated grandly with glowing lights and buoyant balloons. Their scrumptious buffet meal, catered by The Pantry, was an extra touch of elegance to the evening event. Music and merriment continued well into the evening.

The votes were tallied and their royalty was elected. The crowning of Mark S. as Prom King and Cassidy S. as Prom Queen completed the excitement.

Prom, a central rite of passage for young men and women, is a fundamental part of the school experience and forms many wonderful memories. As a custom of high schools around the world, prom is considered the first major social event for a young adult and is an important step into the social world of adulthood.

Every year, Glenholme provides an astonishing Prom experience to students. Prom of 2017 was truly “A Night to Remember.”
